So as the name says i found a server on eBay while i was looking around that's used for super cheap and i wanted to know how hard it would be to set it up as a home server/nas to use for maybe some gaming servers and extra storage for family computers. it's a  "HP DL385 G6 DUAL AMD OPTERON 6CORE 2435 2.6GHz 32GB RAM 2x146GB SAS 10K" and theyre bidding at 1.25

It wouldn't be particiularly hard, although it may not be the best choice depending on the cost and what you want to use it for.

cost is alright i'm looking to get it for cheaplike sub $100(Hopefully), and use would be gaming servers for a few friends and I and then data storage

yeah they're going for dirt cheap i managed to snag an old Asus with dual xeons for $6
