  1. 1. Which monitor would you recommend for design work?

    • DELL U2515H 25"

    • AOC Q2577PWQ 25"

    • ASUS VX24AH 24"

Hello.

I need a secondary 1440p monitor mainly for design work, so such features as 100% (or 99%) sRGB and a nice colour reproduction are needed.

Unfortunately i'm quite on a budget, and i really can't afford to spend more than 550 Canadian $/400 US $/270 £.

I have found 3 models which fit into the category:

- Dell U2515H 25" (http://www1.la.dell.com/vc/en/corp/peripherals/dell-u2515h-monitor/pd.aspx?refid=dell-u2515h-monitor&s=corp)

- AOC Q2577PWQ 25" (http://aoc-europe.com/en/products/q2577pwq)

- Asus VX24AH 24" (https://www.asus.com/Monitors/VX24AH/)

I'm not finding satisfying reviews on the web, and i'd like you to tell me which one is better. I might play on it with some slightly less demanding games, but it's mainly used for serious design work.

Of course i'm open to other suggestions.

Thank you very much and have a nice day :)

you could try saving some more money and get something like 27" or 34" for a much bigger space to work @ 1440p

got my 34" aoc for like 500 bucks from a fair with full 3year warranty, so checking for "used" with warranty is worth a try ( rma is possible then too)

the 25" dell ultrasharps are great i use them @ work

I'd love to but this budget is already a stretch for me.

I'd love a PB278QR from ASUS for example...but it costs too much.

you can find some used EIZO monitors on ebay or at bhphotovideo

they are supposed to be best at colors

it is difficult to get a used 1440 for under $400 but if u are okay with 1080 and used stuff

EIZO is great

or else the dell one is great

I agree! I have an EIZO Foris FS2333 1080p for gaming and it's amazing! That's going to remain my favourite monitor for gaming, but it's not that great for design. I feel like the colours are very brilliant, but not realistic. Great for gaming but not sure for design.

if you are going to upgrade I would like to buy that EIZO of yours :P

the colors are not like regular monitors but are accurate for image processing and printing

regular displays have oversaturated colors which look awesome but are not real
