Do you ever look at your keyboard when typing?

kenjigreat

If so, when did you start not needing to look?

I'm actually curious why people think getting a hold of their keyboard in VR would be an issue so I am genuinely curious if majority of the people you know need to look at their keyboard in order to type.

I type at like 100 WPM I think... not too slow, not super fast either. I do prefer to look at the keyboard when I type. When I hit "M" for "map" in Skyrim, I usually look at the key.

When typing? No, never. But I do sometimes when I'm getting my bearings on the keyboard first or I'm typing a really weird character that I don't normally type (eg. ^, ¬ or \).

I look at my keyboard when I type, then look at what I typed after I'm done. For gaming I don't need to look at it.

I rarely look at my keyboard unless it is a key I don't use often like ~ or something similar. Also when I am doing combos because then my hand are in weird positions.

50/50 really. Most of the time all it takes is a quick glance. Especially on my own keyboard since i'm used to the keys and it's layout.

Different story in school though xD

Our Father Birb has taught us with His humble heart and gentle wing the way of the bob. Let us show Him our reverence and follow in His example. I havent needed to look at my keyboard since my early years in secondary unless it's some odd key I very rarely need.

But that is not to say I don't look at what I'm doing from time to time.

I don't...  it might hurt a little that I have a desk surface in between my eyes and the keyboard though...

I don't need to look for really the most part unless I need a random ass key like "delete" or whatever that is not the easiest to reach.

I started not needing to look once I started typing to people in CS:GO chat frequently (no joke.)

Sometimes I do, if what I'm doing onscreen isn't that important. But if I'm typing an essay I'll watch the screen or glance back and forth between keyboard and screen. I'm not sure if it makes a difference that I type one handed, though.

Well I rarely look at my keyboard, never when gaming, sometimes when coding/typing since some I'm not always sure about the position of some symbols :P
