cheap way to get microsoft office ? (not the 365)

I want a more recent version than my 2007 cd.

 

though I don't have 100$ to spend on that thing. any help ?

2010 and 2013 are almost the same. either one will work for you. That said, you can probably find a 2010 copy fairly cheap.

my college gives it out for free and updates it for me every single year. So im covered as far as I know as long as I have an email address from them haha

Don't know about a cheap solution but I would also recommend LibreOffice. It's free and in my opinion, just as powerful as MS Office. Another alternative that I use on a daily basis are the google drive options. It took me some time to get used to it but once I did, I fell in love. It's so easy to use and accessible. I'm getting married this weekend actually. Watch the wedding at twitch.tv/s

idk I don't really like libreoffice (still better than OO but idk. I like to keep everything in one format. )

It's 100% free, google drive comes with 15 free GB but if you save the documents in their format (which you will) it doesn't take up any space.

eh. my drive is allredy up 13gb xD thats why

and id rather have .docx cus I share a lot of them. like. at least 3-4 per week. and they have to be 100% compatible with anyone. so yeah

17gb is far from enough.. and I have a 3tb nas to use.

17gb is far from enough.. and I have a 3tb nas to use.

I live a simple life, stream media, occasionally have media downloaded for offline use, and use 100 GB on my HD with games

anyone can open google docs within windows 365, and vice versa if its opened through email or what have you, and with the format google uses, 15gb is more than enough
