ethernet not working

  • hi.
    after upgrading to windows 10 i have no internet from lan.
    no lights on the port. or device in device manager.
    i took out the cmos battery overnight and also the ram. 
    woke up this morning and the lights were on and my family controller driver was in device manager
    but no internet. and the lights and driver are gone again... 

    PLS HELP

Does the taskbar show that you have internet but you can't connect to anything or do you have no connection at all.

well im using a usb wireless internet but if i unplug it there is nothing. just a wire with an x. when i press it there is nothing. so no connection.

Uninstall the ethernet adaptor from device manager and reboot. Windows will reinstall the driver. If that doesn't work, check Asus' website to see if they have a special driver available that's better than the stock Windows one.
