Original - fail

My modded with cut out sh*t that made vista sh*tty - FTW. No BSOD, crashes, hangups, slowdows - all worked perfect.

I semi-like it... it's still horrible but better than XP, and I used to be a XP fanboy...

I prefer Windows 7 though.

So many things I could write here... things like this.

What do you think about it is better than XP, other than the fact that XP is no longer supported by Windows?

It's not so much the experience but the flow, most XP computers that I got to work on were crap and still are - they're slow and what not.

XP on it's own is fine but I like the way Windows 7 works.

For instance, I can just press the Start button and type away, not having to look in the whole list of programs or click search and type it in there after waiting for it to load... Simple things like that make me prefer Windows 7.

Also it reminds me of bad times on a crappy XP computer - times I never want to experience again.

So many things I could write here... things like this.

Ran vista for 4 year strait never had any problems, every PC is upgraded to win 7 now though, so vista is not needed.

never had crashes or bsods on Vista myself that were not my doing like installing beta drivers, eg. I found Windows 7 to be just like Vista...just more streamlined

Looked nice but my computer at the time couldn't run it very well so it was pretty slow. I reinstalled XP and never used Vista again after that.

It actually wasn't as bad to me as everyone makes out.

I think the deal breaker for it was the amount of RAM that was required to run it, most general use computers had a gb or even less of RAM at the time, which was a shock for a lot of people, I think this made the other issues seem a lot worse.

I still ran XP during that time though :)

I had vista for about 5 years until 2012 when I built my own computer.

I'm guessing most of the issues were without the service pack as well so I never encountered anything, I wasn't into tech at the time though.

Windows 7 was a much better experience, but I liked it way more than XP. Everyone that I knew had problems with everything crashing on XP.
