Is there a way to turn off the sound?

Every time I get a notification or a thread I'm in gets another post there is an annoying sound that I would like to turn off. Is that possible?

Probbaly, if you poke around the forum a bit. You could also mute the tab if you are in Safari or Chrome. (Don't know about IE, FireFox, & Edge)

Whenever you get a notifications there is a wrench in the popup, you can click on it and set your preferences.

And on forum here you can edit yours.

Would be nice to be able to disable thread-reply (when you're on the page, haven't plied) sounds but keep the other ones on.

 

eg. It plays noise if the thread is open and there's a reply, disregarding if you follow it or not.
