[Minor] CTRL+L Shortcut Link Model

Versions

Windows 10 Version 1511 (Build 10586.71)

Chrome Version 48.0.2564.97 m

Bug Description

Pressing CTRL+L in the post editor no longer pops up a box to create a link.

Severity

Minor

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a new post or open a reply to another thread
  2. Type out the text you want to turn into a link
  3. Highlight the text and press CTRL+L

Actual Behavior
Web browser URL bar becomes selected and highlighted, ready for typing.
Please note that I'm aware this is a default functionality of modern web browsers - I still want the ability to hook CTRL+L on the forums.

Expected Behavior
Expectation was to have a link paste box model open as an overlay on-screen, like the old forum version had.

Troubleshooting/Testing Steps Attempted

Performed a Google search on IP.Board's forums for any relevant information regarding the CTRL+L functionality. No dice.

Workaround
None found. Featured was probably removed in the "upgrade" by Invision Power Services.

Not a bug - moved to feature suggestions.

I'll suggest it to ips, but I don't know if they will fix it. It's not something that we can fix very easily.

Thank you for considering it, and I do realise it's more of an IP.Services issue than the LTT Forums.

Seems that lots of people have mixed feelings about IP.Board 4.x, especially the CKEditor.
