Is it just me or has linus started to get more foul lately its not a serious issue for me but i just am wondering if anyone is noticing this also?

Unless its like the words i censored, its fine. 

 

Curse words are no worse than normal words. Its the context that makes it bad. Such as : "F*** YOU"

Nobody said anything about being offended! This is probably just Linus. Before, he used to do Livestreams alone so saying ButtPlugs would be little weird, then with Slick but they didn't seem as close as they are now, but now they're comfortable enough with eachother to make sex jokes etc, they can be more like themselves.

Swearing isn't a necessity but nor is it a necessity to not swear. I mean, Linus has always controlled his language in his videos and he usually controls it in his livestream and saves the minimal swearing that he does, to the afterparty. However, I have noticed that he's swearing more lately. He's quite comfortable swearing in his livestreams and he even swore in one of his videos lately. It kinda surprised me a little, but it's nothing out of the ordinary. I mean, listen to "TheSyndicateProject" on Youtube. He sounds like your stereotypical Scotsman talking! Haha.

 

Anyways, I understand why people try to not swear, but in Linus' case, I think that 99% of his viewers will be of a secondary/high school age at least, and if you're secondary school is not filled with students and often teachers swearing, you're in a weird place. It always makes me laugh when something is rated higher just because of swearing. I mean, OK, rate it 12, but past that it's pointless. I have definitely reduced my swearing since I left school. I'm now in college and I certainly still swear, but nowhere near as much as at that age.

 

Another thing to note: if you're one of those people that swears a lot, good luck putting a strong point across by using swear words. If you don't often swear - a teacher, for example - you'll have a very different reaction when you use a swear word.

Had it of been for real, I assume it would have gone down completely differently, audiences are usually looking for an excuse to react. Same goes for school if any of my teachers had of sworn in front of the class it would have just opened the flood gates for the rest of the students to do the same. I think that's the prime example of when you should not swear as it could be percieved as threatning.

 

To be honest I didn't even notice Linus swearing during the livestream, I did hear TTL say fuck, but it wasn't really excessive or offensive. Linus said bullshit and buttplug, I think everyone knows you can hear or even see a lot worse with an internet connection and this is a tech related community so we can assume you have been to the depths of the internet.

 

Swearing if just a thing that you learn to do appropriately, I have a hard time believing Linus offended anyone.
