That's pretty neat,

Also good job reviving this old thread, it might have been a good idea to start a new one

You know how it is, the cow goes "moo", the dog goes "woof" and the gamer goes "The PvP is unbalanced."

@byalexandr  lol i would have used my cellphone personally :P

I'm currently modernizing an old Zenith Stereo Console. When i'm done, i'm going to put a few LEDs into it, but not a whole lot.

What kind of stuff do you use to power those bed LEDs? I might want to get into rigging some stuff up like that for my home office.

They need an LED driver similar to how the larger high powered LED's work but on a smaller scale, depending on how you wire them up you can get one driver or all of the bead LED's.

I have a raspberry pi that controls rgb LEDs to show CPU usage, ram usage, CPU temps, etc. Never have it on but it was fun to make.

Is that the cpu usage etc.  of the Pi, or a separate system?

Its of a separate system. I had a webserver running on it that hosted the usage statistics and the Pi checks that and updates roughly every second.
