Nice, while I loved 8.1 as an OS I have to say so far I've found 10 to be much more enjoyable to use once set up properly.

Looks like it won't catch up to windows 7 until after free upgrades are discontinued if that graphs trends continue, though I suspect that can be attributed to corporate sectors who don't care about the new features and would rather not deal with any potential problems switching OSs may cause.

Windows XP is slowly going down.

There is no point in XP, lyk even some old people with beige monitors stopped using it.

Good luck XP for retaining some market share and good luck 10 for going to a point where 7 is.

It's not really that surprising seeing how much Microsoft are pushing Windows 10. They want it to be the new windows platform to last a while I imagine.

Keep in mind that a fuckton of organisations still run it. Most pcs at our labs run it (legacy software) a lot of older schools run it (thats a few hundred computers per school right there).

I think windows 10 is a move in the right direction, but there are still lots of things that bugs me. Like the bipolar nature of so many of the settings. There is 2 versions of pretty much everything, and the touch screen optimized version is the default one, with the proper control panel and settings being buried under it.

This mixed in with some of my games being weird on windows 10 pushed me to switch back to windows 7 not too long ago.

People don't like change. 8 and 8.1 had the metro screen and even though functionality it wasn't too bad it was different and people stuck with xp

There's still Windows 7, or hell even Linux. I wouldn't use a computer running Windows XP if you paid me...

Not everyone is tech literate or have the money. My dad uses Windows XP because he won't let me touch it as he likes the way it looks... He can't afford a new computer so he is stubborn and part of the xp crowd

Well, maybe if you explained to him that it is not secure and his data and passwords are potentially unsafe, he would change his mind...

Many people got better things to do than re-learning new OS every few years.

Not really surprisingly, considering how they are forcing it on users.

I know a guy that runs a used car dealership and he still uses windows 98 for that same reason. I done some maintenance and upgrades on it for him, luckily I had spare parts that old.

I'm really happy win 10 is doing really nicely i haven't really seen any substantial reasons for not upgrading, but then again i've been running the technical preview for the last year+

It's going well, and under the hood improvements are always welcome, also full support from programs that some companies need to work on.
It's working pretty great, I wonder how much % W10 will have by the end of the year. Specially interested to see it's growth after 1y from release.

I'm sure it will surpass W7 in time, specially when it's more perfected.
I'm curious though, what will be with the support date with W10 since they said it to be the final version but with constant updating.
