Best LED Setup?

My plan for an LED Strips lighting setup id to use an arduino Uno and then some LED strips to illuminate behind my desk and monitors.

 

My query is what are the best LED Strips to use that are a reasonable price.

For LED strips if you want a DIY type solution Amazon sells kits that that you can cut to length and hookup via the ardunio, just make sure it doesn't exceed the power rating on the pinouts of the arduino:

Why the Ardunio ? Are you planning on running some custom lighting routines?

I have not used them personally (yet), but I would check out Adafruit's Neopixel selection.

They seem to have a wide range of analog and digital LED strips with different features/prices.  I've ordered electronics from them before and I am always satisfied.

Their tutorials and custom code are super useful.
