RGB strips for matching colour on PC monitor? ( same as Philips Ambilight)

Hi guys :-)

I am wondering if there is a possible to buy RGB LED strips that will replicate the coluors that is shown on the Monitor?. Same as the Philips has with their "Ambilight" technology.

I know NZXT HUE+ is a good product for RGB lighting, but can HUE+ replicate the coloure that is showing on the monitor?

Welcome to the Forums!

For something like a color matching backlight it will require a controller of some sort to be able to interface with the input singal, While it can be done on arduino and other devices, I've seen this before from lightpack which is usually used for TV's:
