[Quick Question] i5-4670K vs i7-3770K

I have i5-4670K in my PC which sometimes lacks in computing power for my needs and I've got an occasion to switch to i7-3770K.

Which one should I go with?

3770k if it's an even swap and/or if you do heavily threaded tasks (like rendering).

I said 3770k because you said you were lacking in computing power.  For computing power i7 > i5 (of similar vintage).

A 4790K would be preferable, but a 3770K is a wonderful chip and CERTAINLY worth it over a 4670k

A 3770k is LGA 1155, 4670k is LGA 1150. They won't match, it's better to get a 4790k, you'll save a lot of money

If someone were to swap with him, then I'd get the 3770k simply because it has more threads. However, if you're BUYING, even a used CPU + motherboard combo. It would still be beneficial to get the 4790k, simply because it's at one of its lowest prices.

Thank you! I live in Poland so the pricing is a bit different/delayed than what you have elsewhere.

3770K is about 900-950PLN. (215-230 USD)
While 4790K is about 1200-1300PLN (290-315 PLN) + 200-300PLN for new one
Both used

While I'm able to now switch 4670K for 3770K.

+Motherboards with SLI are quite expensive for 4790K.
