generally, yes. but still, make sure to do some research before you buy it.

Don't take 1 brand as being good or not, take each product on it's merrits.

 

Look for professional reviews of whatever unit your looking at from the likes of johnnyguru or techpowerup or anyone who does a scientific test..

 

If you tell us budget, use and location we could probably point tyou to a good unit for budget or whatever needs you have.

Depends on which model. I would say they provide decent PSUs at most price points.

Silverstone make some very good, very small power supplies, however there are better, just generally not smaller. If you're space constrained then I'd certainly recommend them, but if not, and you can get an EVGA G2/P2 or an XFX XTR unit for the same or similar price, then I'd go for one of them instead.
