This is sometimes why I wished I lived in america.

PC is Intel Core i5 6400, GIgabyte H170 Gaming 3, Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x4GB 2400Mhz ,Sandisk Ultra Plus 128GB, WD Blue 1TB, NZXT S340, ASUS Geforce GTX 960. Fractal Design Tesla R2 650W. http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/793XNG. Graphics card choices don't always have to be dictated on performance. If you want the game stream and power consumption of the GTX 970 get that. If you want raw performance of the R9 390 get that. In the end we are all gamers, so what if your buddy gets an extra 5 fps?

?

Tigerdirect is currently going out of business and they are trying to sell off all their stock. Unfortunately all their inventory is completely fucked up and most of their deals get canceled and refunded before they are shipped because they realize they don't have as many of the item as they sold.

So tempted, but doubt it would work in my board... Might get it and sell it to someone at school for profit :P

Your board supports up to 1333.  It wouldn't work.

You can set it to run at a lower speed, can't you? But I just mean since it's non-ECC (and server boards are really picky with ram anyways)

I'm afraid to buy at that place now. I had cases in the cart and was one click from buying and read that little "note" above that said "all sales final". even though the prices for them were never seen so low I just couldn't let myself do it.

if you want to take the chance do it. it's not a ot of money to lose. if the ram comes "broken" you can mail it to the manufacturer......... has a life time warranty?

Speed isn't a problem but non ECC most likely will not play nice.

Thanks I just bought it lol. I only have a single 8gb stick and I wasn't gonna pay another 35-40 for another single stick for dual channel lol. Thanks a lot man!!!

why would you hope it doesn't ship?

Cause I don't really need the RAM. More of an impulse buy.  ^_^

What I think actually happened was a pricing error, actually.  They have a 4gb that was listed at the same price.

Probably. Although this is a better deal than their 4 gig sticks.. http://goo.gl/0eAsWF

linky doesn't work :( I just had to return some hyperx 1866 ram to amazon like 2 days ago, becuase my mobo didn't play nice with it, but it was supposedly fine with 1600 mhz ram, so taht would have been a steal.

Problem with ram is if you have your memory controller on the mobo or on the CPU. X58 CPUs have it on the CPU and they can rarely push much higher than 1600 Mhz unless you get a golden chip. Mobo based memory controllers tend to allow much higher frequencies.

I've got some lovely oldschool elipda ram modules that can do amazing things like 2000 Mhz cas 7, 2200 Cas 8, 2400 Cas 9, but on X58 I'm limited to 1600 Cas 6.

IMCs are evil.

Linus is my fetish.
