LTT's top 5 disliked videos are about Apple

Snickerzz

Honestly, I've only had battery issues with 2 phones.  Both were HTCs.  xD  Haven't had that issue with Samsung nor with Blu.  I think HTC needs to make better batteries.

I have a HTC M9, and I have to say its not bad at all. My normal "day" is from 6:45 am and ends at about 1-2 am. On a really heavy day, I'll have about 30 - 40 percent remaining (sometimes 20 if i had a super heavy day and used it like crazy). But on days where it just sits in my pocket, and I take it out only once in a while to check a quick text, I'll easily have 70 - 80 percent.

For me, a HUGE plus for my iPhone 6 is that it doesn't burn much battery when I'm not using it. Took it off the charger this morning at about 9am and it's sitting at 80-90% remaining (after a few conference calls and some mild app use - I'm a relatively light user when I'm at a PC). That is HUGE, especially for a product that has been in use (on and off) for 12-15 months at this point.

Just a random question Nick, how fast does the iphone 6 charge compared to a quick charge 2.0 enabled device (i know I can look it up, but just wanted to know real life experience). Oh and also, next stream with luke?? :)

Yeah don't worry also. I have a bad taste for iMacs for work computers relating to digital content creation. Trust me, I used it in Cinema 4D and, I have to admit, it was a fucking nightmare. Let alone they're slow too. So where do iMacs belong? Anywhere relating to the home or office of course.

Eh, kinda typical.

Most people dislike apple due to poor price/performance and having some really dumb ideas lately (Apple mouse charger, Apple Pencil or whatever its called, iPad Pro)

Others dislike Apple because they think it makes them kool.

No, it's us not liking the company for suing people for thinking of things before them.  It's a shit company with no original ideas outside of Wozz, and he doesn't work there.

I wasn't talking about you guys, but more the masses that watch linus.  not everyone is so well-informed

In their defense, you usually are paying more for less.  That's the Apple way in most cases.  There's some, but not many of their devices that are worth it.

I still find there MacBooks to be a decent value, especially the 13"

that and the 5k iMac for photo work since its as expensive as a 5k monitor (or at least it was at launch)

2009 Xserve and the 2009 - 2012 mac pro are the only devices I truly want to get my hands on

Most people here hate Apple because they are gamers and Macs don't do too well in the gaming department. But if your a web developer or in graphic design Macs are actually really great. Most people probably have never used a mac for an extensive period of time and yet they are constantly hating on them.

One of the few ones worth it is the trashcan pro.  You basically are getting a discount on the firepros. xD  Macbooks are a tad useless imo when I can do the same thing on a laptop with ubuntu, imo.

I only like MacBooks because my OCD hates vents on the bottom and plastic cases.  I'd like the trashpro if thunderbolt external hardware had been better supported at  launch and it didn't throttle.  I'll be interested to see how the MSI Gamercan stacks up in terms of cooling and performance (I'm sure they'll be compared)

I gave their products a chance, and only 2 were ever appealing to me.  I've had to use them for content creation stuff in high school where I hated them highly.

Well everyone is different, but every single web developer I know currently uses a Macbook and loves it.

The audio was severely out of sync on that WAN show though... I had to stop watching because it started to hurt me. :'(

What, Apple's founder who didn't practice personal hygiene and attempted to battle cancer with a fruit diet has also made business decisions that alienated consumers?

Color me shocked

The term Apple tax was coined a long time ago and Apple has continually offered products at price points that kept the term alive to the present day.

The attempts to control competition with frivolous patent wars, iphone assembling employees jumping to their deaths from factory windows, the tight grip on the supply chain also played a role in earning negative publicity.

We had a few Apple tyrants on the LTT forum too, who my signature was directed at. Their open contempt for the rest of us got them all permabanned over time.

Apple does indeed have some neat products but for the group of consumers frequenting tech forums, most of the time the value proposition is simply not there.

They do excel at attracting average consumers. My mother never managed to get used to using a smartphone until I bought her an iphone.

On top of reasonable reasons to avoid Apple products, they also get some unwarranted hatred. The CEO is gay and unfortunately we live in times where some find that's reason enoughto hate a brand.

Props to OP for digging up the data. Never cared for likes and subscriptions on youtube but cool chart nonetheless.

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?
