A wild AMD R5 330 ARIES-V1 FH found in a HP

Hey guies,

A client recently bought a new HP desktop computer and requested his data be transferred from his old computer, to this new HP computer.

He had a lot of data on his old drive, so to speed the process up I connected the drives using SATA through a service computer (makes large transfers easier)

Although, when in the new computer I noticed a graphics card that I hadn't seen, infor below:

Serial number: PEZDE0 80Z9J4KM Rev 08

HP part number: 806650-001

I done some google'ing and found out the card is called AMD R5 330 ARIES-V1 FH -

Strange thing about this card is that is seems to pair with the board as it has no connection ports on the card itself,

the only connections are on the 2x HDMI on the board. This HP also contains a Core i5 so there is no form of APU wizardry going on here :/

Picture below:

What is this card? ; and where can I find out more about this card? - I have lurked around the AMD site to no avail.

Thanks in advanced for your time.

Not gonna lie in my 5 years of computer repair I have never seen anything like that. My only thoughts to why HP would do this is so the R5 330 acted as sort of an accelerator card and simply passed the graphics through the PCIe slot to the HDMI connectors on the motherboard rather than the i5s onboard GPU doing any of the work. Anyway this is just a complete shot in the dark.

that's exactly it. HP probably decided that for people who are going to buy this piece of junk having too many ports can be confusing and decided to not include them on GPU.
