WD Red 4TB GIVEAWAY!

LinusTech

So many giveaways it's amazing.

I have a Mushkin 240gb msata SSD and a Seagate 750gb HDD.

It's really all that will fit in my laptop as I don't have a dekstop. The hdd came with the laptop so didn't have much choice here and I got the ssd because I really wanted a faster boot drive. Not to many companies make msata ssd's in general and also at a good price.

Starting to run out of room with blu-ray rips they take up 30+gb of space. Plus all the steam games from summer sale and humble bundle are really starting to add up also.

I have a 1tb seagate barracuda. i put games on it and pictures, and memes, you, profile pictures and most likely viruses. Most of all "naughty" pictures of slick. If i had the money then nas and raid would be an option for me.

I use a Samsung 840 250GB for my boot drive, and then I have a 2TB RAID 0 HDD setup with 2 x 1TB Seagate Barracuda hard drives. I run RAID 0 because I do lots of video editing and gaming, and faster reads and writes are crucial. I also would prefer to have a single 2TB volume instead of 2 separate 1TB partitions so RAID allows me to combine storage.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

I'm using a 2tb hard drive and I do nightly backups to an external hard drive. I'm hoping to buy an SSD soon since hard drives are pretty slow. I'm using this setup because I didn't have any other storage when I made my build so I needed the size of a HDD instead of the speed of SSD. I think even a small SSD (just for the OS) is now essential in any build but unfortunately I didn't have an option to buy one due to my build budget. My plan is to eventually buy another HDD and Raid 0 it with the current one and use an SSD for OS and some games.

I have a 2TB Apple Time Capsule, and a 4x 160GB RAID 0 for storage. I use my storage mostly for storing games and making backups of my data(especially with the time capsule)I got the time capsule for really cheap so thats why i run it for my backups. need some more drives to build an actual RAID array that I can use for backups. Would love to use some WD Reds :)

I use my ssd's for speedy map rotations in Battlefield 3 and Velociraptor for fast video storage of videos while playing games. They were also recommended by friends and family.

This is my storage and could use more for movies and games.

I have 2 1TBs HDDs, one Samsung F3 because it was good for the price at the time and another Seagate one because I needed one fast and it was the best one that Best Buy had. No RAID unfortunately. I need the space not the speed.

I'm using an 120GB OCZ Agility 3 for my boot drive, some old 500GB hard drive, and a 1.5TB WD Green. I used this setup because I just transferred the old hard drive to a brand new build and then added the WD Green later after needing more storage.
