Enabling Z hop should fix the "scratches" on the surface. Need to eliminate the freaking Z wobble from the leadscrew.

All mechanical parts are either 3D printed or made of scrap wood/metal. Controller is a clone of the Printrboard

I'm sure you can run a laser engraver of an arduino I don't see why you couldn't do the same with a 3d printer given the correct libraries. 

Google it, many people run their repraps off of arduino.

M8, i waited an ENTIRE YEAR for ONE SINGLE 40 pin header replacement for my raspberry pi. (Friend in England missplaced it, found and shipped it a year after he bougth it for me)

Just a quick update, I got my heated bed installed!

Only problem is that with my OLD bed (which was made of paperclips, fiberglass, nichrome wire and STANDARD GLASS) was prone to breaking from thermal shock, so I made it heat up slower by setting a max PWM percentage in the firmware file.

 

But with this bed, this max PWM prevents it from reaching full temp, so I need to change it. Now where did I put that firmware file....................

Very nice, make sure you coat this in a little bit of glue from a glue stick. Makes printing (at least in PLA,I can't speak for any other materials) a dream.
