abyss03

Star Citizen 2.1.0 released live last night (Well 2am GMT) and brings a large slew of features, fixes and additions to the game.

Here you can find the whole patch log but below I will summarise some of the best (In my opinion) features and fixes:

  • Million Mile High Club now available for eligible members
  • Aegis Sabre Hanger Ready
  • MISC Freelancer (Base Model) flight ready in crusader
  • Aegis Vanguard Flight Ready
  • Limited ships to lock 2 missiles at a time (Except 325a which allows 4 missiles)
  • Mission for Covalex Shipping Hub
  • Instances screen for joining friends in the 'Universe'
  • Several Performance improvements to Crusader
  • RSI Constellation Andromeda performance optimizations

This is only a fraction of the changes and fixes so look at the patch log or play the game if you wish to know more :D

I've got a question about this, since the Sabre & Vanguard have gone back on sale I am seriously considering getting one.

They are only available as seperate ships or ship upgrades so I'd probably get an aurora game package & upgrade my aurora to a Sabre.

Now, I noticed that the Aurora game package comes with an Aeroview Hangar, and the Sabre ship package comes with a VFG Industrial Hangar.

Will I keep the Aeroview Hangar when upgrading to a Sabre and get the VFG Industrial Hangar with it? Or do I only get to keep one hangar?

In the "My Hangar" section of your account you are able to choose which hangar you want to display your ships in. If you have multiple, you can choose whichever you want.

I'm not sure how it will work when the game is out of Alpha, though.

New to Star Citizen? Look no further!

The Aurora comes with the Selfland Hangar, when you upgrade you keep the package you have and only upgrade the ship. I think the Gladius is the cheapest package with the Aeroview btw

Wooooooooo Vanguard Hype!!! <3 <3 <3

Hyper Vanguard Hype?

The 325a has an advantage atm with its multi missile launcher, so i would try it first.

The Star Citizen 'hierarchy' of hangars (from lowest to highest - Self-Land, Aeroview, Revel & York and VFG Industrial) basically means that you have access to the highest tier of hangar that is in either your package or your ship - although the package will still say Aeroview, the VFG Industrial Hangar 'attached' to the Sabre is the hangar you'll have.

You also get all the hangars below that - so with the VFG hangar you can switch between all four hangars in the 'My Hangar' section of your account.
