MSI announces Vortex - Badass Gaming PC in a Cylindrical box at CES 2016

kameshss

MSI announces "Vortex", it's a gaming PC featuring Skylake Core i7 6700k (yes K) processor with upto two GTX 980s in SLI. Those 980s are in MXM form factor.

the Vortex sorta looks like Mac Pro on the outside, even on the inside they have a blower fan on the top just like Mac Pro.

Vortex has the following I/O ports on the back

  • 4 x USB 3.1
  • 2 x USB 3.1 Type C (With Thunderbolt Support)
  • 2 x  HDMI ports
  • 2 x Gigabit Ethernet
  • 2 x Mini Display Ports
  • 3.5mm Microphone and Headphone Jack
  • Upto 6 Display outputs

MSI is promising that it'll 22dB at idle and Under 30dB underload.

This small foot print has 6.5L capacity.

MSI people told Linus that Linus will be the first person to review the MSI Vortex.

Linus's Video on MSI Vortex

Promotional Video from MSI YouTube

And as Linus said in his video, MSI is saying that it's not the Final Product.

Source: LinusTechTips YouTube, Tom's Guide.

Pricing & Availability: Around $2000 for 960 in SLI with 6700k and Around $3000 for 980 in SLI with 6700k. It isn't launching until Q2 2016.

And yeah, Linus mistakenly created a processor called GTX 6700k. Birth from GTX 980 and i7 6700k :P

You don't get the manufacturing process do you? No ofcourse you don't, the only thing you do is laugh in your bedroom at everything.

The only posts I see of you are these type of posts. This makes you look like a kid in his mom's basement. So I hope you refrain from making posts like this again.

Ridiculous. Ugly. Never thought I'd say it, but I'd rather have the Mac Pro.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

Calm down. You're getting too personal. If you don't like the other people's comment, don't quote him or don't get too personal. It might hurt them in many ways.

IIRC he quoted my posts because he didn't like it. IIRC he went personal at first.

Might be best to just drop the whole thing. Not worth fighting over and getting warning points. :)

Wishing leads to ambition and ambition leads to motivation and motivation leads to me building an illegal rocket ship in my backyard.

Yea I'm gonna drop it now. But whenever I see said person reply on people it's always these type of posts. I dislike it very much.

He didn't got you very personally, I think he meant it in a funny way.

If he did he should've made it clear, maybe by using an emote or at least other phrasing. This is all text based so it's kinda hard to tell when people are making a joke or not.

Mac Pro: Powerful, Elegant, and compact

MSI Vortex: a bit weak, ugly AF, and larger than the Mac Pro

One is a trashcan, the other is just trash.

Yea, but MSI Vortex is a Gaming system not a Workstation :)
