That case is a frankenstein. 75% acceptable but 25% dealbreaker. Like a woman you need a paper bag on her head to look at, except the opposite. (Bottom)

Expandable AIOs. Their QDCs look better than EKWB's too. Nice.

No QDC will be better than the ones EK uses, EK chose literally the best.

Back to the good ole days! I still have my 17 inch macbook as it has a GT9800 in it 8gb of RAM and SSD and a 17inch screen. I hate small screen laptops

EVGA, I was looking forward to their next case, the Hadron kind of kick started the ultra compact ITX, yet still showcase quality, case market. I am very disappointed.

 

 

1440p is not common, but more than rare, among 12-15" laptops/ultrabooks/2in1s/convertibles.

After I performed a genocide on all the bloat (I hear it's available on Microsoft's store without the bloat) and installed Windows 10 free upgrade then removed all the Windows bloat (Get Skype, Bing, Twitter, Mail, News, etc.), this thing is perfect, not a gaming machine though. The SSD is actually two in RAID 0.

 

I'm just glad 720p is finally being aborted like the cancer it is. A resolution that is less than full HD is not fucking HD.

There's plenty of 15.6 inch and smaller panels above 1080p. Until recently, there was nothing around the 17-19 inch range above 1920x1200. I'm not even talking just laptops, I mean even panels themselves, I was looking directly into panel lists from the manufacturers and stuff. Just didn't exist and I want a 17 inch or higher panel that's above 1080p. My ideal would be 1440p or 3k, but I'll take 4k. And I doubt this is the last of it's kind, I expect to see more options starting to appear now. Hopefully by the time I buy my next laptop, probably a clevo, I can either order it with one of these options or slap it in there myself.

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it. 

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff. 

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I still wish there had been 3k monitors. 2880x1800 at 30 inches.

I am not a gamer, but I may purchase the laptop from them for non gaming use.

 

 

I do not like the case. It is too flashy and I see no point in having a fan controller. I rather control fans from the motherboard headers. I am not a gamer, so I guess I shouldn't really speak.

I doubt you'll be able to take advantage of the unlocked multiplier of the 6820HK in a laptop that slim, unless it has some beefy cooling to prevent throttling. Am interested to see if I'm wrong and it doesn't throttle, even when overclocked.

Nope, warranty stays intact. Those are medical quick releases, likely the same ones used on EK's AIO, only EVGA ordered theirs in black.

I'm sure the warranty is void if you remove quick release the tube or the tube from the rad.

Those aren't Colder QDCs actually, they seem to be more of the Asetek ones itself. Note the twist to connect mechanism with some minor fluid spillage here.

Tried a 15.6" laptop with a 3200x1800 res once. Pretty sexy. It was a rebranded MSI GS60 Pro 3K I think.
