I'd love to purchase this monitor. Honestly, I just don't think it's worth the £1000 price tag. That's roughly $2050 CAD. I mean really, ASUS? Your competitor is selling theirs for $350 less!

I'm fairly certain NCIX jacked up the "regular" price to make the sale seem more appealing. $1699.99 seems to be the standard price in Canada.

and you still need a comparison price from the same region in order to compare prices.... who would have guessed....

Don't forget we pay 20% Value Added Tax (VAT) on everything here in the UK, so if you really want to guesstimate the price in $ start from the ex-vat price, ie £800

 

Which at the current exchange rate is $1645 Canadian

Both the Acer and Asus screens are selling just under £1000 here.  I've been keeping an eye on a few screens, including these, and they've not moved from their £1k price tag in the UK.
