Rumour iPhone 7 Plus may add 256GB model as well as a LARGER BATTERY!

AlTech

According to some chinese sources, the iPhone 7 Plus may add a new storage option for sale. This new storage option would be 256GB storage. And the iPhone 7 plus would also receive a LARGER BATTERY! Imagine that!  Well don't get your hopes up too high because they think it'll come with a 3100mAh battery. The current iPhone 6s Plus (That naming scheme is so bad) features a 2750mAh while the original 6 Plus featured  2950mAh battery. This means we could potentially see far greater battery life on the 7 Plus.

While this might be a very good approach maintained by Apple, perhaps the biggest notable difference between iPhone 7 Plus and its predecessor will be its total internal storage and its 3,100mAh battery capacity. Currently, both iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus have a maximum internal storage of 128GB, which is extremely sufficient, but if you carry a ton of content around with you, then it looks like Apple will cater to your needs when it announces its high-end mobile lineup during September 2016.

So what about the previous storage models? Will they get their storage bumped up? It is hard to say at this moment, although Apple has probably realized that the 16GB of internal storage is far too low to accommodate both apps and software updates so it is highly possible that the tech giant omits this storage variant out of the production chain altogether. That being said, we might get to see the 64GB storage models as the base model.

The battery size upgrade is great but extra storage?

I'm gonna make a guess as to pricing and storage if this happens:

32GB base (instead of 16GB) - $699

128GB (instead of 64GB) - $899

256GB (instead of 128GB) - $1099

I'm interested to see whether or not the iPad Pro will get the new storage treatment. if it does then the 256GB wifi only would probably be $1199 and with LTE it would be $1299 or so.

Nobody needs that much storage on a phone! Holy jesus!

AND ONE LAST THING!

EVEN WCCFTECH says

we are going to have to take this rumor with a grain of salt

They're wrong. You should take this with a bowl full of salt.

256GB storage sounds like a fair bet to me.

The bigger battery does not. The phone manufacturers have this delusional idea in their head that we want razor thin devices that we can barely hold on to. A bigger battery would mean they can't do that.

So it's 400$ more for little over 200gb extra storage. Nice pricing.

Glad iPhone finally gets a bigger battery though. 1.8K in their 5 was a shame.

Your personal opinion.

?

I set the font to automatic

As for pricing I based it off of iPad Pro pricing and how each storage interval goes up in price.

I'm speculating

Granted. But seeing as they priced their previous storage upgrades it wont be far off. Might even see a 1.199 price for the biggest upgrade since it's "new" and they wanna get more money out of it.

I said I, also I doubt people consider that massive price increase due to the storage increase a good deal either way, honestly I just don't get apple or why people like them.

Or, I could buy a phone that's a third of the price but does the same things and 2 128gb micro sd cards. And maybe a battery pack that isn't completely idiotic.

It could be cheaper but this is an educated guess.

I have a secret to confess. *moment of silence*. I love Macs almost as much as I love PCs. In a perfect world I would own macs and PCs. An iPad and Surface Pro 4s.

256 is way too big for a phone like really what are you putting on that thing. AVG HD movie 3gbs that's about 85 HD movies. Like WTF. I mean 128 is a good size for a few movies/tv shows and a lot a music. But 256 Overkill

Well Apple lets users download movies. But I have a feeling i know what this'll be used for and it ain't pretty.
