Tealios V2, Zeal stabs

I've got quite a similar setup to you, I'm running 67g Tealios V2 lubed with Tribosys 3204, lubed Zeal stabs, and a brass plate to match.

How are you finding the smoothness of the Tealios?

So many nice boards in here..... I thought I was cool with a Logitech G910 RGB. I really love the board though..... but I'm jealous! Some of the boards here are just down right sick!!!

I have some of my boards on a rack on a shelf, and when I turned around earlier this was precisely eye level with me image.png.b5d8e46347b1edeb55c04453afbf1a46.png

What made you opt for switch films? I've been meaning to lube my NovelKeys Creams as well with Krytox205g0 - I've lubed around 2 of 61 because I'm lazy - but never got round to it.

Idk if it's cause the pom on the top housing on creams is like... softer or something, but after lubing the housing just feels really loose. So I think they can really benefit from getting filmed.

Think I'm feeling the same with my Creams. Pressing down on my lubed Creams are definitely a bit 'looser' than the ones which are stock.

Given it takes me 2-3 hours to lube a full 60% keyboard worth of switches, films must almost double that.

Switch Films are actually quite easy/fast to apply, much faster than lubing. Probably 10-20 secs per switch, including opening/closing. They're really worth it, they reduce a significant amount of wobble, make the switches feel more even, and most importantly, the filmed switches sound much better (lower pitch, thockier).

Interesting stuff, might invest in some just to try. My lubed Tealios might benefit from them as I find the Gateron-produced Zeal housings tend to be brittle when taken apart.

Linus: most expensive keyboard

Also linus: standard gateron switches

In his defense he did spend multiple thousands of dollars on caps and lubed the switches.

I wouldn't call Inks "standard" Gateron switches due to the plastics used, but it was nice that he used non-Cherry switches for once and also lubed the switches.

Probably the last picture of my secondary keyboard I'll ever take with the Sakurios and polycarbonate plate in.

Heading into Cherry territory next week with re-tooled Cherry Blacks, I intend to lube them with Krytox 205g0.

Shitty pic, but ehhhhhh.

Spoiler

IMG_20200119_103630.jpg

Handwired keeb of my own layout, with Kailh choc jades and a soon to be custom set of keycaps. Case is (going to be) a steel and ABS sandwich, with a Teensy LC as the microcontroller. Oh yeah, and soon I'll get rid of all that dumb hot glue.
