sometimes i wish there was a better way to show your apretiation than a dumb like, amazing man! thanks :D il see what i go for but the navless is looking great tbh, might also grab my QuickfireTK or K70 and just do a switch replacement, the Quickfire TK has the absolute ultimate layout, its like navless 2.0 but the build isnt especially good. if i do do the QuickfireTK i dont think i can NOT go for Kaihua box navy tho, those sound THICC

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

hi guys, i think about making my own custom tkl keyboard for gaming but i need the numpad for my work . i would buy the asus claymore with the detachable numpad but dont like the ''gamery'' look. therefore decided to make my own custom tkl keyboard but dont know if making my own ''usb hub'' inside the keyboard case and drilling a few holes in the keyboard aluminium case might solve the problem . now i would like to show and expain my project in more depth . firstly i will use a male to male usb 2.0 or 3.0 cale from my computer to a usb cable male to female with screw panel mount witch will be under the keyboard pcb inside the case (i will drill 2 holes on the case to screw it in). then i will use a small adapter from male usb to female usb and then plug in a splitter from one single male usb to 2 usb females with screw panel mount (also i will drill 2 holes on the case to screw it in ).then i will use 2 small usb to micro usb cables to power both my tkl pcb and a custom numpad. do you guys get the concept ? if not please ask me anything to make it more clear.for this project i am not sure about 2 things 1)if the signal from the numpad and the main keyboard will be ok and wont have any problem despite using all the adapters and and extensions , 2) i dont know if the cable will even manage to fit in such tiny space.below i will list my most possible configuration (pcb, case for tkl, numpad kit, cables(in order of use as said above) ).also i chose the shortest cable length possible to even have a chance of making them fit.i want to put different switches in many numpad symbols ,so i thought about making a custom numpad and i thought if i will have a separate numpad why not go a bit further and make it like the asus rog claymore.its pure intrest about diy and modding .

I'd say if you want to squeeze a USB hub inside you key board case you should should have your own case made. Either make it yourself if you know wood working or find one of the many people on r/mechmarket who sell custom wooden cases. Also no need to have full USB cables inside. Just get the USB pin out diagram and solder normal thin wires off a spool.

Another alternative is just to use an external off the shelf hub and a couple of custom short USB cables to your keyboard and numpad.

I ordered a Qisan Magicforce (80%, TFK).  White color, blue backlighting, Gateron Blue switches.  $65 is a bit more than I'm use to paying for a keyboard, but I guess I'll find out whether mech boards are worth the extra price.

PC Build: R5-1600.  Scythe Mugen 5.  GTX 1060.  120 GB SSD.  1 TB HDD.  FDD Mini C.  8 GB RAM (3000 MHz).  Be Quiet Pure Wings 2.  Capstone-550.  Deepcool 350 RGB.

Peripherals: Qisan Magicforce (80%) w/ Gateron Blues.  Razer Naga Chroma.  Lenovo 24" 1440p IPS.  PS4 Controller.

Audio: Focusrite (Solo, 2nd), SM57, Triton Fethead, AKG c214, Sennheiser HD598's, ATH-M50x, AKG K240, Novation Launchkey

Wishlist: MP S-87, iPad, Yamaha HS5's, more storage

That's super cheap as far as quality mechanical keyboards go, especially from a brand that's relatively unknown and has reported some quality issues. If it turns out to be not what you expected, don't let that color your opinion of mechanical keyboards.

It's actually very good.  I love the gateron blue switches, the form factor is perfect and the backlighting is very useful.

Hi! I hope I'am in the right place to ask this:
Is there any way to make a mechanikal keboard spill restistant?
My Fnatic Gear rush g1 keyboard leaked recently, because the perspiration from my hand. Im trying to find a method to how can I make it spillproof, but I cant find any safe and sure solution, still. Someone told me about Plasti Dip, but I'm not sure about the outcome... The plan is about the next one: Cover the keyswitches moving parts, then spray some clear plasti dip to the keyboard (because of blacklighting), and repeat it 4-5 times. Is this going to works? Please help, I cannot find any existing examples of this, or any other methods. If anyone have a sure solution, please tell me. (The English isn't my native language, so please forgive me for the grammar mistakes.) Thank you!
I also placed this question on reddit, but I get only such answers, like "replace the keyboard" or "replace the keyswishes by soldering/desoldering". None of these are options. So no corsair k68 buying, no keyswitch replacing, just a sealing method around the swiches. Is it possible? thanks!

Nothing really exists in a true low profile, other than what you've been shown from the G80-3800 in a previous post. The demand unfortunately doesn't justify any sets to be made. Devlin makes the L-series keycaps (basically the ones that go on the G80), but only offer 1x1 sizes on their website for inquiries.

The closest you'd get to low profile is Cherry profile, or the uniformity of DSA, which some people liken to "low" profile.

There's also G20, which I think is even lower than DSA. Not really popular, though.

Massdrop.com, pimpmykeyboard.com, aliexpress.com, mechanicalkeyboards.com, novelkeys.xyz, originative.co

Also I was unaware there's a  TKL version of the Magicforce.

SA caps have to be my favorite, have a set of Miami Night SA's on my iKBC Poker II Type-C but also have a spot for DSA's which a set of Dolch are on my QuickFire TK (both boards sport MX-Browns)

Also have another Quickfire TK w/ blues and a OCN Edition Ducky w/ MX-Black switches

Hey guys... just bought the new Rama m60-a (and his keypad on mass drop). I also picked up some switches.... now I need advice on a keycap set to get. I'm very partial to the profile of my HHKB - so one close to that is good... anyone have any advice. I have time to wait... as I it will be at least a few months before I get teh boards.

I have a 2019 macbook pro with 64gb of ram and my gaming pc has been in the closet since 2018

Sculpted SA is the closest that's readily available.  There's also the /dev/tty set on Massdrop, but that drop just finished.

Currently running a Tesoro Gram Spectrum with Kailh Speed Red switches and ABS double-shot keycaps. Been 2 years since I bought it and it's overall a good keyboard. I also have a TADA68 with Kailh NovelKeys BOX Jades I have to solder up.

Newest toy. A Preonic from olkb.com with lubed MX Clears w/ 62g gold springs. Built and programmed it just tonight as soon as the PCB and plate arived. I've had the keycaps and switches sitting around for months. It's quite small, I have it between my wrist wrest and my 60% for comparison. It's a good 20% smaller than the 60% despite having almost the same number of keys. Still getting used to the layout, might take a couple days, making tons of mistakes right now.
