Radeon R9 390x or GTX 970?

hello,

 

I am currently planning to build a PC but can't deside between the R9 390x and the GTX 970...

 

Please leave me your opinions aznd advise!

390X is 15% faster

The 390x will beat the 970 100% of the time and the 390 will still beat the 970.

A 390 can perform a little better than 970.

 

A 390x can perform more better than 390.

 

390x>390>970.

It depends on whether you are going for 1080p or 4k gaming. At 1080p there is next to no difference, but at 4k, the 390x is better. Saying that, the 970 will overclock much better (so I have read)

As a Nvidia user at the moment, I am really on the fence, I love the extra FPS at 4k the 390x gives you. My concerns are based on my own history with team red cards (both my last red cards died prematurely).

 

All in all, both cards are great and you should have awesome fun with either.

You're mixing the 390 with the 390X

That's OLD drivers. Anything with drivers pre November does not count
