Triple Channel Ram Kit on a Dual Channel Mobo

Hey I was researching this up, but I didn't really find any good answers on it. Like will it just plain out work and use all the memory (same speeds), and will it hinder performance at all. Thanks

Ram is ram. Triple channel ram kits are just 3 sticks of the same RAM packaged together. Dual, triple or quad channel is a feature of your motherboard.

If you use 3 sticks in a dual channel board, it'll run in flex memory mode. Dual channel for the first 2. Single channel for the 3rd. You may or may not see performance issues doing it. But you probably won't see any increase either.

Generally better to stick with 2 or 4. Unless you get a tri channel board.
