Every CPU is different, say under 80C and 1.35v and you should be able to get to 4.6 or very close.

 

I got to 4.6Ghz on my 6600K on 1.325v

every chip is different so just try under 1.35V

atleast 8 hours but more like 24 to be absolutely sure

Once you're happy with the overclock and the voltage run it for a few hours, even after that leave the pc on for a while when just doing normal tasks. My old overclock pasted the stress test but blue screened when I was using Chrome.

You could get away with 2 or 4 but that's much less of a solid test.

it it doesnt crash in the first 15 mins thats pretty much 99% sure it is stable

The fastest way you are going to find the overclock is slapping on the highest possible voltage you are comfortable with. 1.35 should be fine if you have good cooling and then just doing small 10 minute stress tests until the thing crashes. At which point to dial it back 100 mhz and do a longer test. For a final stress test I recommend at least 3 hours if you are not doing anything on you computer that is vital. If it's just gaming it's not that important because you won't be losing work or anything. If you work on your computer I would say 8 hours at least.

I wouldn't say that. I did a 2 hour stress test which passed and immediately crashed on launching cinebench when I was searching for my latest OC. lol Although people who say 24 hours sound ridiculous to me.

I wouldn't stress test to be honest. Basically just do what you do. Because sometimes when you complete a stress test, it can crashes once a youtube video opens.

 

Play games have a music in the background normal stuff.

i am on 4.6 100% load on aida64 and im on 67C

Yes, I would shut the test down if you are passing 85c though. Typically you don't want to go above 80 but a stress test will cause more heat than any real world activity so there is a little wiggle room to go beyond for a stress test. Is that stock voltage?
