windows 7 OEM mobo separation?

So i have a copy of windows 7 oem on my hdd and i wanted to change my case and the way my hdd is connected to the motherboard i need to unplug but if i unplug the hdd from the mobo will it mess up the hdd?

No. Unplugging your HDD will do nothing to harm anything on Windows(provided the computer is turned off). Your installation will be 100% fine. It's pretty much no different than when turning off your computer since your system has no way of knowing whether it's plugged in or not when turned off. Also changing SATA ports won't matter either. They're just pathways. It'll boot just like it normally does provided your boot priority is the same.

No, it's only if your change your motherboard. The SATA port doesn't matter.
