Massive Lag Spikes While Playing CS:GO?

Hey guys, so starting about 2 days ago I started getting massive lag spikes whenever I played comp games of CS:GO. I have tried a lot of different things including moving the adapter, unplugging things around it. Using an extender to put it on the desk away from the PC. Using ipconfig/release & renew, and disabling ethernet. In my barracks room ethernet IS NOT possible. The adapter is this one. Do you guys have any possible fixes? The internet speed we pay for is about 80up/50down from Time Warner.

powerline. I got it last week and i get no speedloss and my ping stays under 100 for most of the time. depending the wiring of where you're staying, it could effect how good it is.

Doesn't that have to go to the router though with a cable? We aren't allowed access to the router.

Have you tried to see the signal power rating? (4 of 5 or lower is disaster!)

yeah it requires you to plug an ethernet cable into the router. You could try a wireless extender but it may cause your ping to spike. at least that's what I read when deciding what I needed to extend my network.  Another option is you buy another router to use as a repeater and wirelessly repeat. it may be slightly better than a extender depending where you place it.

It's a solid 5 all the time.

Interesting I will keep my options open then the router is somewhere in the next room. Our barracks are basically like college dorms. Each room is divided into 2 spaces Alpha and Bravo, and we have two rooms next to each other. All 4 of us share the wifi. However with my laptop I never had this issue. I could even stream with no problems.

It's hard since I don't have a receiving address set up yet so I have to wait till I go home and then I'll be able to look into it.
