Gift I'd look to give the parents: Drobo's File Transporter Sync ($160.44)

Reason: Mother's just started up a new business and needs a good reliable backup solution locally. Has the added benefit of being able to synchronise to another paired transporter sync (for example my one). Since we both have at least VDSL based broadband it solves the offsite backup issue for her quickly. Just install the software, give the transporter a USB HDD and wham. Done.

My mother always really enjoyed a whole house audio system we had installed in the mid-late 90s. I distinctly remember certain god-awful music playing, generally Yanni, every time a holiday or family gathering was about to occur. More recently however, as happens with time, the system has stopped working. Likely some where behind the walls of our house the cables have become too warn for use. My mother is not technically inclined, leaving the workforce in the mid 1980s and returning in the latter 2000s means she missed a lot of technological development she otherwise would have been exposed to in an office environment. Nevertheless, I am thankful that her and I shared moments in my childhood. I want to thank her for raising me by bringing music back to our house. I think the future of home audio is wireless as it is the least intrusive, no need to tear down walls or lay cable, and thus allows for upgrades as technology changes. Thus, while perhaps no the most original idea given the fact that it is part of your video, I would like to get my Mom a Sonos Play 1 speaker - http://www.amazon.com/SONOS-PLAY-Compact-Speaker-Streaming/dp/B00EWCUK1Q. Sonos' ease of use and its soon to be released comparability with Apple Music (which I am planning on getting a subscription for my parents) would work perfectly together with minimal maintenance.

It is really great seeing you take the holiday spirit to heart Linus! Really admirable.

I would like this Bluetooth speaker for my parents because they always want to listen to music and my old speaker is hard to operate and this one blends in with furniture.

My girlfriend isn't very tech savvy and is going to college for graphic design/design and has lots of distractions.

I would love to get her some nice headphones we have been together 2 years.

A pair of Audio-Technica ATH-M50Xs for my granpa, since he always is listening to music in the living room with some speakers and has it really loud. It's pretty annoying, but I'd like to give the old man the opportunity to listen to his music and feel comfortable while doing so.

A NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet, http://www.amazon.com/NVIDIA-940-81761-2505-000-SHIELD-Tablet-WiFi/dp/B00LM6KF7O

This gift would be for my Mom who enjoys reading and looking at recipies online, this would reallly help her as an alternative for carrying around multiple books, she is definatly a no-techie and I would have fun teaching her how to use it during the Holiday season.

Sincerely, Leo

My mom still uses a nokia C115 and I think we all now that this piece of technology belongs to a museum by now. I'm thinking an Iphone 4s would make a good gift since IOS is pretty easy to use and it has everything she needs. Google OnHub for my neighbor and friend Jeffery.
After teaching him to use Skype it is frustrating having his internet cut out all the time.  This simple device would probably solve a lot of his issues.

Now I'm going to go put on all my Christmas sweaters because It's about to be an early eve.

I would buy my family a Nvidia shield as they already love the Chromecast they have. An Nvidia shield for the living room would be an excellent present for them. I'd give it to them so they would be able to do more with their TV.

So I tried to get my parents to use Raspberry Pi, so they could use streaming services, because they are still rocking old DVD player from 2006. Yeah. Ain't gonna happen.

Therefore, if I had an opportunity to gift them something cool which would allow them to use the internet instead of having to find a DVD to watch a movie, I would gift them a Nvidia Shield streamer.

Here's the link: http://www.amazon.com/NVIDIA-SHIELD-Streaming-Chromecast-Advanced-Performance/dp/B00U33Q940/ref=lp_13447451_1_7?s=tv&ie=UTF8&qid=1449782592&sr=1-7

Thanks LTT for this awesome giveaway :)

I would want to get a new headphones for my dad. He always complains that his are broken or have bad sound output.

So I chose the beats studio wireless. With my personal experience they have very easy setup and almost no maintenance, so that means I won't have to do much.

My younger brother has been for the longest time, using an older mechanical hard drive. His boot times are rather slow, making shutdowns and even hibernation time consuming. I would love for him to have fast boot times and faster load times for his Steam games. An SSD would free up this time needed for booting, and make gaming overall better. And a large capacity, he can have both speed and capacity.
