780 Sli or r9 390 for 4k Help

Yes, it's worth it. 390's perform much better than 780's at 4k (~20-25% per card), and you will never be bottlenecked by the vram.

Hello, I currently have a single Gtx 780 (3gb vram) and I also have a 4k monitor. I am not sure if it is worth buying another gtx 780 to put them into sli because of the 3gb ram. I am debating if I should sell the 780  and then buy 2 r9 390 cards instead. I'm just wondering mainly if the extra fps from the 390 crossfire will be that much better than 780 sli to make it worth going through the hassle of selling the 780. Thank you for any help!

Well, when you put it that way its definitely worth it since a used 780 is only a bit less than a 390,  I will have to live with my old gtx 580 while I wait for the 780 to sell though lol. Thank you for the reply.
