EA is already planning more Battlefront games

As part of EA's 10 year licensing deal with Disney, they have expressed their intentions to make many, many star wars games for console, mobile, and PC.

Their CFO, Blake Jorgensen, is quoted as saying

"We struck a licensing deal with Disney a few years back that's almost ten years in length. The game that comes out tomorrow, Star Wars Battlefront, is a traditional first-person style shooter game. Our goal is to make future Battlefront games as well as other style games around the Star Wars franchise, both on mobile as well as console and PC. It's a huge opportunity for us."

There are also rumors that there's a Star Wars RPG-Style game currently in development.

Personal opinion: **Caution. High amounts of salt**

Ugh. EA being EA again. First they insult the good name of battlefront by releasing a reskin and tweak of BF4, then they announce intentions to make even more. If you need me, I'll be enjoying space battles and singleplayer campaign on Battlefront II. Y'know, features that were available 10 years ago, and should've be included in Battlefront III. Just sayin'.

So how is this digging? No shit there were going to be more. Let's just hope they improve on the next games. Secondly, half of your OP is purely opinionated. The game is fun to other people, regardless of some features of the original gone.

Thirdly, it's not battlefront III. It's a reboot. Have you actually played it?

both on mobile as well as console and PC

NO fuck off. I do not at all want more shitty micro transaction driven mobile games

Also, Battlefront may have been a big success and as a casual title it was pretty darn good. It still isn't a true Battlefront game. I've lost all hope at this point tbh

With Disney's aggressive strategy I wonder if in 5 years time everybody will be sick of Star Wars? Not just talking about games.

When it comes to Star Wars we have always had a mix of some outstanding, some good and some mediocre content. But we were never burned out before, we were always left wanting more.

I still don't understand the fucking salt that's behind Battlefront. Bitch, if you don't like that it's a reboot and a reskin of Battlefield 4, go cry about it over there.

You must be special. We understand.

In that case, you'd be the type of person to pay £50 for a gun camo DLC, and probably £100 on a collectors edition game which has a poster and a book...

I have some land to sell you in Thailand, just forward me card details.

You must live in wonderland, to afford the new star wars under $10. Damn send me a few keys man!

And I'm not salty, I just find it hilarious when people defend crap products, especially when made by EA.

Look. I fucking hate DLC. Nor was I fucking implying that I could get Star Wars Battlefront for $10 fucking bucks. Now does it look like that I could even afford $1 worth of shit?

I hope you can afford at least 1$ of shit, because free shit is hard to find these days. I love DLC when it is actual DLC, not part of the game released at the game's initial price and named a Season Pass.

oh fekk off.. i spent YEARS playing Battlefront 2 and it was nothing but a off the shelf battlefield 2 rip-off with a fancy hero mode and RTS style "conquest" mode....

FPS games havent really changed, in any meaningful way, since like... the first one came out :|
