Your favorite Xbox 360 games?

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

Title says it all for the most part. What are your favorite Xbox 360 games? I might be getting one for free of one of my dad's buddies and I would like to have a set of my own games to have.

EDIT: I don't see how you dicked this up and not the one for the original Xbox. :/

Well the google docs is gone like no other... To be expected of the internet and the LTT forum... *sigh*

Forza Horizon and Forza 4 get my vote.

well.. back when i still bothered with consoles i was on the playstation side. (got both my PS1 and PS2 because we knew beforehand our 3 week holiday was gonna be rain-filled that year, i'm a pc guy otherwise)

theres a lot of games i really couldnt be bothered with, but theres also a whole load of games i really liked on the console. crash team racing and crash nitro cart are amazing, i liked them more than mario kart.

look for games that are specific to the platform, i feel like generally the games that apply to all ages are the most fun ones, and will remain the fun ones when you dust off the old console in 10 years when cleaning out the attic.

EDIT: wanna add, that last bit is where consoles really shine for me.

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

I've played a lot of games on 360, 7 years worth. I'm not going to name any that are on PC or other consoles. But if you like JRPG's Lost Odyssey is a good exclusive.

Burnout Paradise, Crackdown, Saint's Row (all are great, look for the 1&2 combo pack), The Orange Box (so much value!), Viva Pinata: Trouble In Paradise (warning: contains massive amounts of sex and violence), Fallout 3, Shadow Complex (Live Arcade title), and if you have a younger sibling/cousin or like the occasional good "kid's" game, pick up: Disney's Bolt.

Other great series:

Gears of War

Call of Duty (the original Blops is excellent)

BioShock

Dead Space

GTA

A lot of the games that I loved rely on whether the servers are still active. So here's my top 5 in no particular order.

  1. Modern Warfare 2
  2. Red Dead Redemption
  3. Mass Effect Trilogy
  4. GTA V
  5. Forza 4

360 don't have many great exclusives imo. PS3 wins this.

Man, Gears of War was my first online gaming love! I still play Gears 3 on my Xbone.

But I really, really loved Rock Band. I played all 3 to death, having over 550 songs, going through 10+ guitars, 5 drumsets and countless discs (corded controllers + rocking out + Spinning discs = ruined games lol)

I have best memories playing Guitar Hero 2 and Rock Band 2.

I also love N+ because I loved making games, I just wished there were more multiplayer options.

Black Ops 1 was my favorite CoD game and I still believe it's the best to this day.

I played DMC 4 for 500 hours. Idk what to say about that really.

I played most of my games on 360, but they're not necessarily 360 games , I played the ass outta Dead Space and Resident Evil games on 360. Man I loved RE5
