Walmart partnering with LG to make $10 phone

Walmart has partnered with LG to make 2 $10 US phones.

 

The phones will be running Android 4.4.4 Kitkat  but don't expect a lollipop or Marshmallow update for $10.

 

It will feature 4GB internal storage with a Micro SD Card slot and no front facing camera. However, it does have WiFi and 3G connectivity. 4G LTE unfortunately is not available.

The two phones are the Sunrise L15G and Lucky LG16.

IMHO - This is the most stupid phone I've ever seen. It's more stupid than smart flip phones. (ones that have super good CPUs)

Kinda ruins the point of a phone, which is connectivity without wifi... I would rather buy a shit phone that can actually connect to a cellular network for the same price.

The processors are unknown as are the amount of RAM and if there is the ability to make traditional calls on either. (Well I mean we now have  WiFi calling so it can't be that bad).

That's because it is a cellular device, come in both GSM and CDMA forms. I explained this in my post on the previous page, but OP wont fix the OP!

They are just offloading the extra cost on the contract itself.. I often see some smartphone being advertised "Free with a x year contract with y" so this is nothing new, that still doesn't mean the phone only cost $10.
