But really i have a gtx 480 in my rig and i manage to out perform a lot of my friends some of which have titans, given i am almost boiling water the whole time. but still anyone have any idea as to how a gtx 480 is outperforming a titan?

It is clear to see his 480 got so hot that time itself slowed down causing the 480 to, in theory, speed up breaking all forms of physics possible. This is a very rare occurrence and only one case I believe has been recognized so far... you sir have what is known as.... The NVIDIA Illuminati 480 Premium

Context helps too - A GTX 480 @ 600Mhz beats a TitanX @ 150Mhz, anyone can make one beat another with unrealistic measures :)

If you play very CPU demanding games and you have a much better CPU than them, I wouldn't be surprised. The Titan is a much better card than the 480 though.
