RAM Frequency Q's?

I've looked everywhere on the internet and no-one is giving me a good answer! Will me 1866 mhz HyperX Fury Black RAM work in my Max-1600 mhz MSI H81M-E34 mobo! Will it underclock? or will I have to do some bios settings. It would be amazing if it does that automaticly but you can't always be that lucky.

Put them in the board, see what happens, they won't break.

It might automatically underclock, or you may have to do it yourself. It really isn't that hard to do it manually.

Both RAM sticks will be seen at 1600 Mhz.

just try it, its gonna underclock to 1600mhz....

 

its not gonna break your board if it doesnt support it.

Just, don't expect it to run at the rated 1866MHz.
