I mean Witcher 3 has its issues, but I can't think of another game even relevant in the competition this year...

 

Like really.... MSGV is probably the only other really good AAA game this year I can think of, and even then, it's pretty bland (really really bland) in comparison to RPG's which imho on scale and immersiveness alone should basically win every single year.

 

 

Pillars of Eternity is another good one, but it's too much of a side-scroller to really compete with Witcher 3 and the like.

 

It's been a really lame year for gaming...

 

Fallout 4 deserves to be tossed in a hole, and not played for three or four years when modders are done with it. Because the base game is so shitty.

TW3 is overall much better than Fallout 4. Better GFX, better engine.... storyline is excellent and that's always up for debate whether or not which story you like but Witcher has some really fun moments. With the DLC they have added it's just that much better too.

Witcher 3 is by far better than anything else that came out this year. It definitely deserves it.
