Due to the amount of badges given out, I would guess they have received over $1000.

Do I need to pay $25 Canadian or 25 USD to get the silver badge? I just checked and $25 Canadian = $24.56 US.

This is a great idea to help the guys out at LinusMediaGroup. Must have been some working in getting the donation system up and running. Plus not to forget all the other great work they do in giving us great content in all the channels.
