can I still edit stuff in imovie after I've saved it?

So this is my first time using imovie and I wanna know if you can still edit or add onto a movie after you've saved it into a file. I need to do a voiceover tomorrow when my house is quiet.  I know this sounds like a dumb question but i'd rather not have to redo my intro again. Also, is the mic on the top of the imac any good? or do I have to use the mic on my gaming headset to do the voice over? Thanks!

If you project in saved in some iMovie specific format: yeah.

If you render out the project, you cant edit stuff in it anymore (you could still overlay your commentary though)

 

And chances are high your headset mic is better.

Well you can drag it into a new iMovie project and do your voiceover on top of it, then export it again, but not much more than that . . . And the mike on the iMac is probably not as good as the one on your headset.

Get Audacity, Record your voice over. Then Save the file to whatever MAC uses for its Audio format. Then drag the file into the video.
