yep I have, but I still cant call 60fps shit, and my current monitor is 60hz, its fine, its not mind blowing, but its fine

144hz is better yes, but I wanted 1440p (and at that time there was no such thing as 144hz 1440p and my PC would not run it anyway)

yeah 30 .. not a fan, though I did recently do like 60 hours of LA Noire at 30 and found it playable though not 100% enjoyable

I am not exaggerating when I say I can never game on a 60Hz screen again. It honestly looks God awful to me and everyone I know that has tried 144hz

You know guys, these numbers aren't great considering this game isnt that graphically intense, hopefully gpu performance improves a tad as time goes on  :P

 

 

Openworld games are always more taxing and less graphical since they have SO much going on

Mind you it's an open world game, so lots of things on the screen at the same time. And it's Bethesda on day 1.  :ph34r:

All I'm saying is how the hell could you find 30fps to be smooth?

any FPS can be smooth if it is 100% consistent with ZERO dips or spikes.

 

If you use AMDs Framerate Target Control, you should be able to lock on to a specific FPS without dropping or spiking. If you do so, it will seem smooth.

Our eyes detect only deviations from "normal"... so if 60 FPS is the average, then anything below that, say 45, will feel "slow". Anything above that will feel fast (also perceived negative as it can have a slight "fast forward" effect.

 

However if the FPS was locked to 30, hard-locked, with enough GPU and CPU horsepower to make sure it NEVER fluctuates neither up nor down. Then it feels VERY smooth.

 

what "busts" 30FPS is the "natural feel"... running, jumping or other bodily functions are less fluid. They feel less natural.

However driving a vehicle or firing a weapon wont change in terms of characteristics.

yeah i love Skyrim to bits, but i wouldnt be playing it at all if the modding community hadnt released all those bug-fix patches... cuz Bethesda sure as hell didnt.

When it's a game like Battlefront that AMD owns on it means great optimization. When it runs better on Nvidia it's GIMPWORKS  :angry:

Place your bets now, how long will it take for AMD to fix their drivers, because they should NOT be losing in a 390 vs 970 matchup.

 

Hell, you could start a drinking game out of it. Every new game release, follow these rules for AMD cards: 

 

Gameworks: 1 sip

PhysX: 1 sip

Stuttering: 4 sips

Devs complain: 2 sips

AMD complains: 3 sips

Nvidia denies allegations: 2 sips

Artifacting: 2 sips

Something happens called _____-gate: 5 sips

AMD takes over 1 month to fix: 3 sips

 

I don't want to hate on AMD, but at launch, it almost always seems like Nvidia has better drivers, sometimes even on gaming evolved titles. Although a lot of it is due to Nvidia's actions, that's no excuse to launch at a disadvantage, nearly every time. I know someone'll point out exceptions, but I remember so many launches favoring Nvidia at launch: Project Cars, GTA V, The Witcher III. AMD needs to step up their launch drivers before I'll consider them for my next card.

I really .. REALLY ..wish game dev's stopped designing games for console first then porting to PC.

 

They need to design and create for PC, then dumb it down to console, like back in the day.

 

The majority of games coming out for PC, are ports, and the majority of them have performance and issues caused by the fact they were designed for consoles.

 

Now don't get me wrong, it looks like this game performs good, but damn, I've seen max settings for Fallout 4, and they suck compared to what they could have been done.

 

Still, this is but more proof that you should only buy a console if ur after specific exclusive games, because u can build a budget mini PC that can do what a console can do ..better ..and more.

Hell, you could start a drinking game out of it. Every new game release, follow these rules for AMD cards: 

 

Gameworks: 1 sip

PhysX: 1 sip

Stuttering: 4 sips

Devs complain: 2 sips

AMD complains: 3 sips

Nvidia denies allegations: 2 sips

Artifacting: 2 sips

Something happens called _____-gate: 5 sips

AMD takes over 1 month to fix: 3 sips

I think I'm going to stick with water this time  :mellow:

YES. So I assume I'll be getting 40ish fps on nvidia surround. Expect some triple monitor gameplay, guys! :)
