WB games taking full refunds until the end of 2015 for Arkham Knight

We are very sorry that many our customers continue to be unhappy with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. We worked hard to get the game to live up to the standard you deserve but understand that many of you are still experiencing issues.

Until the end of 2015, we will be offering a full refund on Batman: Arkham Knight PC, regardless of how long you have played the product. You can also return the Season Pass along with the main game (but not separately). For those of you that hold onto the game, we are going to continue to address the issues that we can fix and talk to you about the issues that we cannot fix.

The game really isn't that bad this time around...I think the performance issues come from a VRAM issue. With a 780 I have no issues running the game with everything maxed (no AA, and all gameworks effects off) at a stable 90 (the FPS lock). When I toggle the gameworks effects on it warns me that I need "4gb" of VRAM instead of the 3 that my 780 has.

 

When I turn on gameworks as well I get the occasional (frequent) hitch when grappling around, and frequent frame drops, which make me inclined to believe it's a vRAM issue. 

 

(of course I don't have another card with more vRAM...and my testing isn't exactly conclusive by any means -- just some quick 60 second testing I did for my own curiosity)

It's probably VRAM. I played when the last patch came out on my 390 and it ran great. Yesterday I ran it on my 270 and it used almost all of the VRAM on the lowest settings.

I don't remember. I didn't really pay attention, but I never got frame drops on max settings 1440P, whereas on the 270 I get frequent frame drops on the lowest settings at 1080P. Can't check right now because my PSU isn't liking my 390. I'll check Monday though.

I'd argue they didn't actually do anything out of their own decision at all: they just had to as the first major disaster after Steam implemented refunds. Otherwise the game would have been heavily criticized and hated by all but it would still be for sale, unpatched, no compromising just like Alien Isolation remains on sale for example.

if I had to choose between never getting to play it and playing it in the state it's in now (or back in August), I'd still rather be able to play it. It's a great game that just doesn't runs poorly, but if you have the hardware to push it, then it's fine.

Personally I'd say no so really it should be well played steam but still WB do deserve some credit. You could argue it should be working to start off with but no one is perfect so
