Building a PC for my Granny

I've done some research and expertreviewer.co.uk oced the 8350 on it to 4.2 GHz with OC Genie. I just feel that she's going to benefit from an 8-core CPU. Does everything else look to you?

an i5 will destroy the 8350 in the vast majority of the cases, since it has better IPC and really stronger cores, and newer instruction, since it is a newer cpu. The clock speed is pretty much irrelevant when it comes to a cpu IPC but if you want an fx, remomber that a 990fx mobo is a must if you plan to overclock, due to better power phase designs.

I'm actually planning on getting an FX-6300 now. I was doing even more research :P, and saw that the 6300 is 50 cheaper with 2 cores less than 8320 but it's a much better ocer so I can squeeze out more performance

Ok,I've been stupid this morning :P, so I think I'm going for an i5. I think the number 8 and the cheap price was swaying me.

-snip-

There is no need to add a dedicated gpu, since your grandma wont be gaming(i suppose), the igpu (intel hd) will do just fine

Also avoid cases with preinstalled power supplies, since they are not to be trusted (low quality components that may damage your new hardware)
