Is there any difference between displayport and mini displayport?

no, just size

Hello,

I just bought a new monitor and it came with a mini displayport cable as well as a displayport cable. I have it plugged via the mini displayport one. Is there any difference between the two besides the obvious size difference? My monitor is a benq xr3501. (I googled it already and checked wiki, but I couldn't find any difference on the websites I check. I'm asking just to be sure that I didn't miss anything.)

Thank You.

The big one has a lock, the smal one not.

Electrical thry are thr same.

Size. That's it. They adapt seamlessly to one another.
