To wait or not to wait

SNorman

Hi anyone/everyone,

I am planning on building a rig (kinda why I'm in this section but you know), now I have a budget of £500 (convert to dollars if you need)

Here is what I'm currently thinking

Any additions/edits to this are MUCH appreciated

Although I'm wondering if I should buy these parts now (for Christmas/my birthday) or wait until black friday. I don't even know if black friday is a thing in the UK and if it is would I even say anything on these parts at all?

Thanks in advance!

I would swap out the 750ti for a GTX 950.

Oh yeah - and you're the one that's going to pay for it?

But that could maybe work. How about a AsRock Anniversary H97 board instead of the Gigabyte one. That should be cheaper and comes with more RAM slots. Or maybe even a cheaper H87/H81/B85 board.

Maybe you're also able to get a cheaper case. Then you might be able to have the money for a GTX 950.

A VERY fixed budget

I pratically only play Minecraft but thanks :)

I do like the 750 ti, it being my first graphics card, when I first got into pc gaming. But yeah, you should consider at least a 950.

Already done so, look at the post from earlier. Also, the 380 is there for the future when you decide to play more games than minecraft :)

i3 = i5 with less physical cores and 2 more hyperthreaded ones :P (Basically, it's an i5 in multithreaded applications) and the PSU is sub-par...
