Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

All you have to do is edit the config file to fix that apparently.

I prefer watching 1080p 30fps. I'd rather WATCH a clearer video quality that runs at "cinematic" frame rates. Although PLAYING the game myself, I'd choose 60fps every time

I would go 720p 60fps. The difference between 720p and 1080p is not that noticeable on youtube IMO, but 60fps compared to 30fps is very noticable on YouTube. I recently picked up an Elgato HD 60 Pro and don't regret it. So it's good that you are picking up one soon. I've owned almost 10 capture cards over the past half a decade or so, & this is my first 1080p 60fps card. It's honestly impressive how great and smooth it looks. To answer your question again though I would go 720p60fps.

-snip-

1080p 30fps for sure. much better quality. And if people want 60fps they can just use SVP and it's almost as good.

60fps is better for editing tho. You can do slo mo effects and stuff. It's really your choice, if you are only doing basic editing I would recommend 1080p 30fps

Dell was having a $600 off sale for the fully specced out model, so I decided to get it :P

-Crapbook

Fully specced out early 2013 Macbook "pro" with gt 650m and constant 105c temperature on the CPU (GPU is 80-90C) when doing anything intensive...

A 2013 laptop with a regular sized battery still has better battery life than a 2017 laptop with a massive battery! I think this is a testament to apple's ability at making laptops, or maybe how little CPU technology has improved even 4+ years later (at least, until the recent introduction of 15W 4 core CPUs). Anyway, I'm never going to get a 35W CPU laptop again unless battery technology becomes ~5x better than as it is in 2018.

Apple knows how to make proper consumer-grade laptops (they don't know how to make pro laptops though). I guess this mostly software power efficiency related, but getting a mac makes perfect sense if you want a portable/powerful laptop that can do anything you want it to with great battery life.

720p 60FPS.

You can't say no to the smooth 60FPS.

60 all the way.

Capturing 60 is also easier to do slowdowns and half speeds without inducing stutter.

Upscale 720p 60 to 1080p 60.

Done.

Text still readible and even 1080p on youtube isnt much better due to youtubes own bitrate limits and compression.

Do a test. Upload 1080p30 and upscale 720p60 and upload 1080p 60. And compare.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

I'd prefer the 1080p30fps for I have a 1080p panel myself, but not everyone has a 1080p monitor, yet most people have a monitor that goes 60Hz or above.
