Hi guys, so I was originally gonna buy the 5820k, cause I do some video rendering and some gaming (while browsing), however I noticed that Broadwell-E (not EP) basically the i7-6960x ish series is coming out in Feb or March of next year, my question is, so far I've only seen one source state that current X99 boards will support it, by very likely just updating BIOS, however my question is, should I be safe and wait, or can I just buy the motherboard like next month already? Thanks!

it will probably need a new motherboard

just like the 5000 series needed 2011v3 instead of 2011

It could be like Ivy and Sandy and both be 2011, since they're both on the same tick.

I wouldn't wait.

Just remember: Random people on the internet ALWAYS know more than professionals, when someone's lying, AND can predict the future.

just out of curiosity, if I do wait, will it be compatible with 2011-3 socket?
