Anyone having trouble getting the crosshair v formula-z to recognized had drive?

Ntran

Hello Everyone,

I just recently upgraded my system with an Asus Crosshair Formula-Z, everything seems to be working fine but occasionally when I boot up I find that my secondary hard drive (an old Samsung 500gb) is not missing. If I restart the system it comes back. I have tried two different sata ports and have run into this issue on both ports. I just updated the bios, so if the problem continues I guess I'll try a different sata cable. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Also on a side (kinda off topic) note. I'm noob when it comes to crossfire and was wondering if its normal that one of my gpu appears to be off (fans not spinning and catalyst shows 0% activity) while my system is under low load and revs up when I start a game.

SYSTEM SPECS:

Crosshair V Formula-Z

FX 6300

Sandisk 120gb SSD

500gb Samsung HD

Crossfire HD 7850

OCZ 700watt PSU
